Tony B's Ristorante

By Arnold Leir
Dazzling Cuisine with Utterly Beautiful Music

Supper Club

"Wow” pretty much sums up my companion’s enthusiastic reaction to Tony Brocco’s upscale supper club, Tony B’s, open in Parkland for only five months. Patrons of all ages are coming around not only for the uniquely exquisite cuisine, but also for the first class entertainment (Spanky and Dino) and peerless attentive service.

Behind the stylish stone façade lies a fabulous bar that exudes a buoyant and cheerful aura. The nearby elegant dining room with its open kitchen, band stand, and dance floor serves as the home base for the weekly array of talent.

The culinary staff has a style of cuisine brimming with intriguing flavors. You can rest assured that one visit won’t do the extensive menu justice, so start with the tantalizing Calamari and Scungilli Positano ($15) starring two outstanding seafood delicacies combined in an winning opener.

Almost every upbeat restaurant serves calamari, but scungilli is conch that is sliced and served in a variety of Italian dishes. In this kitchen, the chefs adroitly mate the two delectable mollusks in a perky, lighthearted marinara sauce so delicious I could not resist spooning up every last drop.

While you are at it, order the superb Grilled Mediterranean Octopus Limonet ($22). Each generous segment is gently sautéed and precisely plated over Tricolore lettuce, cherry tomatoes and scrumptious Castelvetrano olives.

Be sure to explore the wine menu, an ever fascinating list of imports and domestic labels, The bar offers inventive signature drinks and a Happy Hour (Tuesday-Sunday from 5-7pm) with reduced price drinks and a special bar menu.

Our entrees provided incredible dining experiences overflowing with refined flavors and faultless in every aspect. The Veal Brasciole ($27) is a must have with its masterfully seasoned rolled veal energized by prosciutto, pine nuts and mozzarella. Peas and herbs in a delectable San Maranzano tomato sauce over rigatoni add more pizzazz.

We opted next for the Dentice Livornese ($32), a magnificent snapper filet perfectly sautéed and partnered with savory vegetables and a sprinkling of assorted olives. For a light and luscious finale order the incomparable homemade Tiramisu ($8).

Enjoy live entertainment by well known groups performing favorites from the fifties and beyond every Thursday, Friday and Saturday. South Florida Legends reprising the hits of the greatest vocalists (Frank Sinatra) appear on various Sundays. Call in advance to reserve your table.

Early diners can take advantage of Tony B’s four course Sunset Menu ($24.95, Tues-Thurs, 4 to 7 pm) Catering services are available upon request. For more information, call during normal hours of operation.
