Owner Jack O'Connell makes everyone feel welcome as you experience a step back in time as you listen to Live Light Jazz playing blissfully as you dine on the finest and freshest meats, seafood and vegetables around. As you're escorted to your table you'll be amazed by the celebrity photos that adorn the walls. There's no doubt, you'll see some of your favorite celebrities either on the walls, or sitting at the table next to you enjoying a fine meal with a bottle or two of good wine or cocktails.

Celebrate Every Occasion with Superlative Chinese Cuisine
For almost four decades, the Lam family has been providing an astounding array of Hong Kong specialties. Their Boca Raton restaurant opened in 1975, followed by a location in Okeechobee and their immensely popular Delray site, operating since 1980.
Despite the current economic uncertainty, Bird Nest Tree manages to pack the house. Lobster specials, other enticing fresh seafood creations and a vast menu featuring signature dishes are the main attractions. Vegetarian entrees are abundantly represented and prepared with the same panache as every other offering.
The ambiance is just as appealing as the cuisine. What makes the Delray dining room so pleasing is the combination of elegant furniture, an abundance of highly polished mirrors and a tasteful selection of Chinese artifacts. The gracious staff adds to the celebratory feel. Although we virtually opened the restaurant on a glorious Sunday afternoon, groups of patrons followed soon after and you could sense immediately their enthusiasm for this gem of a restaurant.

Early Birds are a Florida institution and no one does it as well as Bird
Nest Tree. How often have you planned on indulging in your favorite
delicacies only to be delayed by traffic, long lines at the boutique or
dining partners who are rarely punctual? Most Early Birds are served
only to 5 p.m., occasionally to 6 p.m., primarily during the week and
end without exception after the designated time period. At this
restaurant, however, the Early Birds continue to 8 p.m. and are served
every day of the week. Of course, once you catch a whiff of the daily
specials or the Chef's signature creations, you may decide to go, as we
did, a la carte.
We started with a thumbs-up rendition of Steamed
Dumplings ($5.55), light and satiny pockets stuffed with a heavenly
pork-based mix. Vegetable Lo Mein ($11.95) blends a host of crisp
vegetables and thin noodles in a luxurious sauce that inspires endless
visits to the overly generous serving.

Fans of Moo Shu Pork ($14.25)
will love this semi-sweet sizzling combination of crunchy vegetables and
tender strands of flavorful pork. A plentiful supply of warm,
wafer-thin pancakes and stalks of fresh scallions ride along side. A
superb balancing of flavors and textures energizes the Orange Chicken
($15.25) featuring crisp medallions of succulent filets bathed with a
haunting citrus-tinged sauce and garnished with florets of fresh
broccoli.
