Tiramisu

This Tiramisu is rich and fluffy. It is flavored with Amaretto liquor and topped with Chocolate powder, resulting in a decadent dessert, the favorite of my costumers. Enjoy!

 

Ingredients

• 2 Cup (1/2 lt) heavy cream

• 1 lb (16 oz) Mascarpone cheese

• 6 Egg yolks

• 8 oz Sugar

• 6 Egg whites

• 40 Lady Fingers cookies

• 1/2 Cup Espresso

• 4 Tbsp Amaretto liquor

• Chocolate Powder

• 11x9x2 1/2 inches pan

 

Preparation

1. In a mixer, combine the heavy cream, Mascarpone cheese, egg yolks and sugar. Whip until firm.

2. In another bowl place the egg whites, beat with a mixer at high speed until stiff peaks form.

3. With a rubber spatula combine the egg whites with the cream of cheese.

4. In a mixing bowl combine the espresso and the Amaretto liquor.

5. Take the lady fingers and moisten, one at a time, in the espresso and Amaretto mix. Place in the pan.

6. Spread half of the cheese cream on the lady fingers.

7. Add a second layer of lady fingers and the other half of the cream.

8. Sprinkle the chocolate powder evenly across the top.

9. Place in the cooler overnight.

10. Take out of the cooler and let it soften a little bit. Cut and serve.
