Electric Semis are the Future

By Teresa Aquila
Freightliner is producing an Electric Semi Truck that has a pay load of 82,000 lbs. This is the future. Powered by 100% ELECTRIC. ALL POWER. ZERO EMISSIONS.

This new design is specific to the Freightliner eM2 and eCascadia, the all-electric Detroit ePowertrain. It provides the ultimate in power, efficiency and sustainability. The Detroit eFill chargers are designed for EV trucks and other types of EV.

This EV Semi can charge up to 80% within 90 minutes allowing you to go the extra mile.

Keeping Semis on the road and not parked at charging stations is key to the transportation industry. So how many miles can this Freightliner eCascadia travel on a single charge? 250 miles. It has 360-520 horsepower and useable power up to 475 kWh.

Keep a look out, these trucks will hit the road in 2022.

Happy Motoring.
