Are Electric Semis on Full Throttle?

By Teresa Aquila
The President of PepsiCo recently released news that the company will be receiving up to 15 electric Semi trucks manufactured by Tesla. Rumor has it that these electric Semis have been spotted in and around Telsa’s Gigafactory in Nevada.

To help squash the rumor, the carmaker has been installing 4680 battery cell megachargers in the PepsiCo Modesto, California facility. This could be a leap for Tesla within the transportation industry.

In another milestone for the EV industry, Panasonic has announced that the battery recycling company, Redwood Materials, founded by former Tesla CTO JB Straubel, will begin supplying these recycled batteries for Tesla vehicles and Ford Motor Company.

It appears history does repeat itself. Some 100 years ago, the motor machine was all the rage in producing a dependable gasoline engine – today it is the electric vehicle. Happy Motoring.
