AI Changes the Automotive Industry

By Teresa Aquila

AI (Artificial Intelligence) is in the fast lane, changing how the automotive industry is advancing in predictions, vehicle safety, and personal needs. Artificial intelligence is not a tool, but an agent – collecting data across the internet spectrum to offer answers to questions consumers ask. Amazon Siri is AI-generated. Always listening, collecting data, offering suggestions when requested. AI is a computer system capable of performing complex tasks.

So how does this equate to the Automotive Industry? Self-driving cars are a prime example. Another cost savings is AI robots in factories performing repetitive tasks with high precision, minimizing human error. These robots excel in tasks such as welding, painting and assembly, ensuring consistent quality. This helps with production costs.

Companies use AI cameras to detect drowsy drivers, lane avoidance, and collision avoidance. With technology on the fast track, it changes daily with improvements around every turn. If you have used ChatGPT, you are seeing AI is on the job.

AI agents are working 24/7, with so many positive applications. But it also works both ways. AI in the wrong hands is concerning. You can’t have the good without the bad. It is changing the future. Happy Motoring.
