Calling all foodies and families! Savor the culinary brilliance of flavors at La Bamba Mexican & Spanish Restaurant in Margate. Experience great service and delicious cuisine that relishes in the authentic taste of homemade goodness and where every meal is a celebration of food and family! The family-owned Margate location has been serving authentic dishes since 1991 and has become a favorite for locals to enjoy lunch and dinner.

As soon as you walk through the doors of La Bamba you are greeted by helpful and sociable staff that allow for a gratifying dining experience. The color palette and design of the restaurant flawlessly encapsulates Mexican and Spanish culture in an original and genuine manner. The staff clearly pays special attention in offering a clean, respectful space to enjoy a family outing. In particular, the servers add to the warm and friendly environment with smiles and accommodate any questions or concerns one may have. Our server was exceptionally pleasant, down to earth, and was more than happy to guide us through the extensive menu. It was apparent through the diverse number of happy and smiling patrons occupying the space that La Bamba has cultivated a sense of warmth and unity. We arrived for dinner at peak dinner time around 6:45 PM and the service was quick and efficient and the short wait times for food were impressive.

Our evening began with delightful appetizers including the house salad and the famous “Super Nachos”. The fresh house salad was a delectable and refreshing starter topped with their creamy house dressing. Next were the ‘super nachos’. This plate of crunchy tortillas chips with sour cream and guacamole offered an explosion of flavor with every bite. To continue, the menu showcased an impressive array of entrées to choose from. After much deliberation, we decided on the Steak Fajitas, Crab Enchiladas, Shrimp Scampi, and the Pollo a la Plancha (grilled chicken). The Steak Fajitas came out perfectly hot with the classic presentation of sizzling steak with bell peppers, onions and tomatoes on an iron skillet served with pico de gallo, Monterey Jack and cheddar, guacamole, lettuce, tomato and of course fresh flour tortillas to wrap up everything. Next up was the Crab Enchiladas with its unique take on the classic dish. This mouthful of flavor and delightful blend of seafood and Spanish traditions allowed for a modern take on a family favorite. The Shrimp Scampi was a smaller dish that is best paired with another but don’t be fooled, this bite size plate was an impressive display of seafood expertise bursting with flavor from the homemade garlic butter sauce that the shrimp lays in. Last but certainly not least, the Pollo a la Plancha (grilled chicken) was reminiscent of a home cooked meal served with heart. This dish gifted the taste buds with a gorgeously cooked chicken topped with creamy unions, mojo criollo sauce and served with plantains and rice, this dish was certainly one for the books.

Make sure to save room for dessert! The menu provided us with an endless variety of delicious desserts which we delightfully indulged. Our first pleasure was the Mud Pie. This was nothing short of exquisite that included coffee ice cream, oreo pie crust with chocolate fudge and topped off with whipped cream. Each layer had an exciting palate of flavor that compliments the other. Next, we had the Flan. You’ll be served a timeless treat that has been cultivated for decades. With its creamy texture and caramelized top, La Bamba’s Flan is a timeless classic that never fails to satisfy. Last but certainly not least, the Fried Ice Cream – a delicious culinary treat! The warm, golden crisp was a perfect exterior for the cold, creamy center that melts on your tongue. La Bamba provides the perfect dessert experience that transcends expectations, leaving you craving more with every spoonful. Trust me, it’s worth saving room to satisfy your sweet tooth!

So, make your way down to La Bamba Mexican & Spanish Restaurant where you’ll be offered a delightful culinary experience that caters to both food enthusiasts and families alike. With its commitment to authentic flavors and homemade goodness, paired with incredible service, La Bamba is the perfect destination for a memorable dining experience.
