The Way to Think and Grow Rich

By Liz Sterling
In the 1960s television series “Bewitched,” Samantha Stevens would wiggle her nose to make magic happen. As a child, that little trick intrigued me. As an adult, the idea of manifestation came into vogue with the teachings of Napoleon Hill’s “Think and Grow Rich,” Shakti Gawain’s “Creative Visualization,” and James Redfield’s “Celestine Prophecy.” Later on, “The Secret” and “Laws of Attraction” became both desirable and irresistible as a means for manifestation. Over the years, the idea of creating wealth and success shifted from an idea to a reality.

It’s time to share the magic of manifestation.

We all have the capacity to manifest, and we do. Some of the popular sayings such as What you think about you bring about, What you focus on expands and What you resist persists lend to the credibility of the argument that thoughts are things endowed with wings.

If it is true that our thoughts contribute to our reality, it behooves us to become conscious and intentional about what we are cultivating in the garden of our mind.

In the 1930s, Napoleon Hill collaborated with Andrew Carnegie to share with the world the strategies that contributed to making him one of the wealthiest men in the world. Hill was tasked with developing a compilation of steps to help anyone create wealth and success. In 1937, the book “Think and Grow Rich” was published. Eighty-three years later, the principles he wrote about are not only valid, they are precise, practical and perfect for today.

With extra time on our hands, especially for those who are working from home or socially isolating, here is a great opportunity to have a forward vision, and to set the intention to grow rich in mind, body, spirit, wealth, abundance, and in relationship with yourself and with others.

In today’s world, we have come to understand that these principles extend to all areas of our lives. Using the 13 steps that Napoleon Hill set forth in his book, as our well-being increases, we attract others who amplify that good energy, and then we will see that good energy grow in the world too.

Since like attracts like, what you generate through your thoughts is transmitted.

As Hill stated, “Every human brain is capable of picking up vibrations of thought which are being released by other brains.”

In content that still very much applies to our world and where we stand at the moment, Napoleon Hill wrote about defeats, challenges and even disasters. He said that these events are often needed in order for individuals and humanity as a whole to move forward.

Take a good look at the 13 Principles and see how you can make a little magic happen in your life. Hill’s principles are in Bold. I’ve added a bit of commentary to enhance the way to make your manifestations materialize, so you can clear the way to Think and Grow Rich in all areas of life!

Quotes by Napoleon Hill

“When your desires are strong enough, you will appear to possess superhuman powers to achieve.”

“Every adversity, every failure, every heartbreak, carries with it the seed of an equal or greater benefit.”

“You are the master of your destiny. You can influence, direct and control your own environment. You can make your life what you want it to be.”

“Deliberately seek the company of people who influence you to think and act on building the life you desire.”

“Think twice before you speak, because your words and influence will plant the seed of either success or failure in the mind of another.”

Happy Thanksgiving to All Our Readers.
