Lookin’ for Love

By Tina Valant-Siebelts
Through no fault of their own, this mama yorkie and her two daughters from different litters find themselves in need of a new home. It was a gut-wrenching decision, but their human mom is facing radiation and chemo for her cancer diagnosis. NONE of us ever plan to get sick, fired, be in an accident or lose our homes.

Adoption is a process, including an application, home visit, and adoption fee. These three yorkies arrived in Boca Raton on Saturday, February 11. If you or someone you know is interested in adopting, or willing to foster, please reach out to me. At the tearful surrender, it was apparent they were obviously loved members of the family.

The plot thickens I vetted them and was informed the mom dog needed a severe dental procedure, and the girls were intact (needed to be spayed). I learned the mom needed all her teeth extracted. This was the result of low-quality food (corn, wheat and byproducts), and years and years of neglect. Not only were all her teeth removed, she also had several infections – the vet bill was over $1700.

Cassisa, my groomer and friend choose Blossom (the three-year-old). The two others will be going their own ways!
